It Was Rare, We Were There: Denver’s Mother’s Day Rager

After months of promoting the events, we finally got to experience the magic of The Mom Dance Party®! Moms Feelin’ Themselves' 4th Annual Mother’s Day Rager at the iconic Gothic Theatre far exceeded our expectations. Honestly, we’re still trying to find the words for what happened in that room. What we witnessed was so much bigger than a dance party. It was freedom, healing, joy, sisterhood and so much more…

The room was overflowing with the powerful matriarchal energy of nearly 800 mothers across generations. From moms in their late teens to women in their eighties, everyone was on that dance floor together. There was no judgment, competition or pressure,  just women supporting women. For many of us, it felt like the sorority we were never part of. I even heard girls talking about how it was giving Eras Tour energy, and I can’t disagree. 🫶

There is something incredibly beautiful about being in a space where women can fully let go and simply exist without fear. There was no need to stay guarded as we didn't have to worry about unwanted attention or our drinks being in danger if left unattended for just a second. It was a safe space where women, moms, daughters, friends and grandmothers could dance, laugh, scream-sing lyrics and reconnect with themselves. That kind of environment is rare. And it matters.

Dear Mama, You Are Appreciated

As women working alongside so many incredible women founders (and moms) every day, we found it deeply moving to witness what happens when women intentionally create spaces for themselves and each other. The love, support and freedom in that room were real.

We left feeling impressed, refreshed, inspired, but most importantly, so incredibly proud to work with such an amazing group of women. The team behind this movement has created something truly special, and we are forever grateful to be even a small part of it.

To every woman who showed up for herself and for each other that night: thank you. This is the love the world needs. Women are incredible. Moms are the magic that makes the world go ‘round.

And to Moms Feelin’ Themselves — thank you for creating this space, this movement and this reminder that moms deserve joy too.
