The Challenge

CableLabs set out to drive early innovation around the near-future 10G network by attracting builders to develop applications across how people live, work, learn and play. The goal was to position 10G as a foundational platform for next-generation solutions and drive awareness, meaningful participation and industry validation.

The Work

  • Created and launched a full-scale innovation challenge from the ground up, combining strategy, storytelling and visibility to reach innovators across North America.

  • Helped secure high-profile industry judges, including Zoom, Intel, Corning and Mayo Clinic, adding instant credibility and reach to the program.

  • Managed all Key elements, including:

  • Campaign strategy and messaging

  • Media relations and thought leadership

  • Content development

  • Video and digital assets

  • Social media (organic and paid)

  • Website build and submission management

  • University, accelerator and industry partner outreach

The Results

  • 100+ media placements

  • Nearly 500M total audience reach

  • ~100 submissions from innovators across the U.S. and Canada, exceeding initial goals

The program culminated in a live awards ceremony at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo and was later recognized as a finalist for the PR Daily Corporate Communications Campaign Award.
